I was married for 42 years before my husband Frank went to be with the Lord after suffering a heart attack. But life wasn't always so good.
Whinfell Quarry Garden
Whinfell Quarry Garden is a beautiful, hidden, Victorian garden, listed as a Grade 2 Garden of Special Historic Interest on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens. It was created at the beginning of the 20th century, in a derelict flagstone quarry, to house a collection of rare and exotic plants from around the world. A later addition was a fashionable rockery garden complete with an aubretia cascade tumbling down the hillside beside a small stream
